Heating

The building was equipped with a high-temperature wall heating system as early as the 1990s. This system has now been improved against the background of new building physics findings and investigations.In particular, special attention was paid to the topic of heat transfer in the area of window and door reveals. The structurally necessary measures on the ground floor and in the corridor areas on the upper floors have made it possible to install underfloor heating in each case.In addition, a year-round plinth heat tracing system was installed on the ground floor to displace moisture. In order to protect the building fabric and equipment, the temperature level will be kept relatively low in the future, thus avoiding large temperature asymmetries in the individual areas.

Ventilation

To ensure a constant exchange of air, a ventilation system with heat recovery was installed in the attic. The supply air flows over the disused chimney strings, the air is brought in invisibly via the former flue pipe connections of the tiled stoves. The exhaust air is routed centrally to the outside on the top floor. In the future, temperature and humidity monitoring will ensure a constant indoor climate for all rooms of the Lehár Villa.

Electric

With the renewal of the electrical installations, emergency lighting, a hazard alarm system, video surveillance and structured wiring for IT were also installed. All lighting fixtures were restored, cleaned, rewired, and equipped with contemporary light sources.

Elevator system

Although the elevator installed in the circulation zone represents a considerable structural intervention, it is essential for a modern, contemporary museum in terms of barrier-free access.
